ACB busted Rajasthan based visa-for-money racket

The Anti-Corruption Bureau operating in the Indian state of Rajasthan has successfully busted a visa-for-money racket, which has been functioning in the country with the support of some senior home ministry officials.

The arrest of a senior official working in the home ministry is what that has helped the ACB officials to expose the crime.

The ACB has found out that the arrested senior official accepted bribes from the Pakistani Hindu migrants who approached him for the Long Term Visa and Indian citizenship.

The ACB has said that he operated through his agents. The authorities have arrested three of the senior official’s agents along with him.

The home ministry has announced that it would conduct an internal enquiry in this issue. It is learned that serious action would be taken against those who are found guilty in this serious corruption.

At this moment, it is not clear how many Pakistani Hindu migrants have been forced to pay bribe for their LTVs and citizenships.

In the year 2017 alone, the arrested official accepted bribe from over 3000 Pakistani Hindu migrants.

Many Pakistani migrants are living in Rajasthan and Bangladesh migrants in West Bengal. The government should take necessary steps to make sure that the migrants are not exploited.
