AP CM asks centre to keep promises

Leading the discussions around the controversial subject of ‘fund allocation’ towards the central stage of the national politics, the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Chandrababu Naidu, has asked the central government to keep the promises made to the state during the process of bifurcation.

In the budget presented by the central government which is supported by Naidu’s party, there were no clear offers for the Southern State which needs huge funds to feed its huge infrastructural project initiated to overcome the huge loss it suffered due to the bifurcation.

Since then, the Telugu Desham Party has been expressing their dissatisfaction in various forums such as the BJP-TDP high level meeting, parliament, public forums and streets, in many ways such as protests, demonstrations, walkouts and political pressure.

While speaking in a public function, the TDP leader has asserted that the offered special status is the right of the state.

It is the first time that the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister has come up with a strong statement against the central government, which is led by a party which has a political alliance with his political party.

At this moment, it is not clear how the central government solve the crisis. There are unacknowledged reports that the YSR Congress members approached the BJP leaders with the offer of support.
