Canadian PM likely to visit India in Mid Feb next year

In order to strengthen the relation between India and Canada, the Prime Minister of the migrant friendly North American country, Justin Trudeau, is likely to visit the world’s largest democracy in mid-February next year.

The reports regarding the meeting has come at a time when the diplomats of both nations were silently negotiating the proper ways to contain the pro-Khalistan moment, which has been expanding its support base in both countries for last few years, decades after it was mercilessly crushed by the erstwhile Indira Gandhi-led government.

There were reports that the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, already discussed the Khalistan issue with his Canadian counterpart, when the former met the latter in the sideline of the G-20 meeting.

Unfortunately, the details of the meeting have not been publicised by the conserved authorities yet.

Around a couple of months before, when an Canadian minister visited the country, the Punjab CM, Amarinder Singh, who is the member of the party which was once led by the Iron Lady who crushed the Khalistan separatist movement, refused to meet him.

Anyway, this time, the CM has expressed his willingness to meet the Canadian supremo, who is a prominent participant in all events organised by the pro-Khalistan leaders in the country, which is home to many Punjabi migrants.
