China defends Pakistan as the US launches ‘Word War’ against Islamabad

Openly acknowledging Pakistan as its all-weather alley, China has defended Pakistan from the US’ allegation that Islamabad deceived Washington.

The United States claimed that Pakistan secured huge amount from the White House in the name of the counter-terrorism operation, but Islamabad never initiated any step towards the operation.

The US also alleged that Pakistan even provided safe heavens to the Islamic militants who conducted terrorist attacks in Afghanistan and other parts of the world.

This was the first time such a serious allegation was made against the Islamic country by the United States, who until recently considered Pakistan as one of the reliable allies in Asia.

Political observers claim that the statement have marked a clear shift in the foreign policy of the United States who for the last few years have been concentrating in the Asia and Africa regions.

Anyway, the observers point out that the Chinese government’s move is not a surprising move. They say that China in the past also supported Pakistan in similar circumstances.

It is clear that China has economic interest in Pakistan. With China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, both countries aim to strengthen their economic relation.

The new statement that the world must acknowledge the efforts taken by the Pakistan government to fight the terrorism is undoubtedly a part of this hidden agreement.
