Nation celebrates Father of Nation’s 150th birth anniversary Today

The world largest Independent democratic country, India, has marked the beginning of the 150th birth anniversary of our beloved Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi, who gifted us this prestigious status through his non-violent freedom struggles.

Several prominent leaders, including President Ramnath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Congress president Rahul Gandhi and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, have paid homage to the most powerful leader and the most lovable personality India has ever witnessed.

Almost all state government have organised special functions in their states to pay respect to the leader, who is seen as an ideal by many inside our country and even outside our country.

It was Mahatma Gandhi who gifted a genuine impetus to the Indian freedom struggle, which had been aimless and visionless until he joined the struggle.

It was our respected leader’s ideology, non-violence, which played a vital role in achieving the goal of complete independence from the Colonial British, which had been looting the country since the early eighteenth century.

Even Today, Mahatma Gandhi’s teaching and ideologies are followed by many around the world. It is really a proud thing to tell that we are born in a world where the legends like Mahatma lived.

Let’s take a pledge today in the name of this legend that we all, at least, try our best to follow non-violence in our lives.
