Putin set to win Russian election; world leaders shower the autocrat with wishes

The Russian President, Vladimir Putin, is set to win the presidential election, which is a mere political procedure to project the legitimacy of the Russian leader in the International political platform.

Pushing his prime rivals such as Pavel Grudinin, Vladimir Zhirinovsky and Ksenia Sobchak far behind, when almost ninety-nine per cent of the votes are counted the Russian leader has grabbed at least seventy-six per cent of the total votes counted until now.

Several International leaders including Chinese President Xi Jinping have already congratulated the Russian President, who has proposed several radical changes, including several policy changes and administrative revamps, in his country during his election campaign.

Notably, though the German chancellor’s spokesperson has said to the media persons that the chancellor would congratulate the winner soon, neither Germany nor other prime western European countries, such as France and the UK, has expressed their happiness.

The developments, as per a political expert, imply that the west is not happy with the way the Russian president handles the foreign affairs.

Recently, in the poison attack issue, the West, that is the US, France and Germany, has firmly stood behind the UK and publically endorsed its move to expel the Russian diplomats from the kingdom.
