A little less than twenty-two per cent people of the total electorate of the Indian State of Rajasthan has used their right so far in the state assembly election, which will decide the fate of the BJP government led by Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and the opposition leaded by the rising leader of the Congress Party Sachin Pilot.
Today, the election is taking place in one hundred and ninety nine seats of the total two hundred seats of the state.
In the majority of the constituencies, the actual fight is between the grand old party and the saffron party.
The Congress Party, who faced a crushing defeat in the last major election in the state, is trying to mark a strong comeback in the state.
As the general election is not too far, the election is very crucial in that sense also. At present, Rajasthan is one of the North Indian states in which the BJP claims a strong support base. If the Congress manages to defeat the BJP in this election, it can give a serious blow to that confidence of the saffron cadres in the ground.
At present, the situation is equally favourable to both Congress and BJP.
