Saudi dilutes blockade to allow ‘Aid Flights’ to enter embattled Yemen

In a bid to help those Yemeni civilians who need urgent humanitarian aids, Saudi Arabia has diluted its blockade.

The move has helped the International Organisations to send several humanitarian aids to those living in the embattled country.

Yemen is witnessing a serious battle between the Saudi-led coalition and the Iran-backed Houthi rebels.

It was alleged that the Houthi rebels recently fired a ballistic missile towards the Saudi Kingdome. It was said that that move prompted the Sunni powerhouse to impose air, sea and road blockade. Justifying the move, the Saudi led coalition asserted the disastrous ballistic missile, which the Kingdome intercepted, was supplied to the Hauthi rebels by the Iran. They further claimed that had they abstained from imposing restrictions, Iran would have supplies more severe weapons to the rebels.

Anyway, now, the Arab Kingdome has reopened Hudaydah sea port and Sanaa’s airport to the relief flights, as their move to impose blockade in Yemen has received serious criticism from the West.

Earlier, there were reports that Yemen might witness a severe famine if something is not done to stop it from moving towards that.

What should the world powers do to find a feasible solution to the crisis?
