Saudi Arabia, hold some the world’s tightest restrictions on women after religiously conservative kingdom upturned the ban on female motorists.
From early this month, the government began issuing its first driving licences for female motorists.
The state broadcaster al-Ekhbariya said traffic authorities spokesman Colonel Samy bin Mohammad said; “Now every woman has the right to drive a car anywhere in the kingdom”.

There was three days campaign on Thursday to educate women on driving and spread awareness about the safety regulations. “place your trust in God and drive”

Apart from the great big happy news. There are still some hurdles for women to get on the wheel. The fees for having lessons are six times more than men. This means accessing driving licence in a fast way is way too far. addition to it, there are limited driving schools in Saudi Arabia
