US police arrested couple on charges of child endangerment

The United States police have arrested a couple living in California on the charges of child endangerment and torture.

The couple allegedly kept their children in an unhygienic room, denying them all kinds of access to the outside world.

The human right violation came to light, when one of those thirteen children who were kept in the dark room by the couple managed to escape the room and call the police officers, which she found accidentally.

As per the police source, when the police reached the house, other children, whom the escaped child described as her siblings, were shacked to their beds in the room, in which, the escaped child said, her parents kept her along with her brothers and sisters -including the one who is aged less than two.

Until now, the couples, David Allen Turpin and Louise Anna Turpin, have not given any explanation to the authorities why the children were kept in such a condition -in such a way.

The health authorities have said that the children were severely ill-nourished. Anyway, the children’s condition is now stable.

Those living near the house where the couple and their children lived have said that this family was an introverted family; notably, none of them, it seems, know anything about the family clearly.
