Yemen likely to face ‘terrible famine’: UN

The United Nations has warned that Yemen is likely to face the most terrible famine, the largest the world has seen for many years, in the near future if the constraints imposed on the aid delivery are not revoked.

As per the data released by the United Nations, nearly seven million Yemenis are living in an extremely pathetic condition and these people are likely to fall into the clutches of severe famine if the sanctions imposed by some countries over this land are not cancelled.

Saudi Arabia and its junior partners are the prime countries which have been standing as a serious hindrance to the UN’s aid delivery since the degradation of the security situations in this Arab nation.

Saudi Arabia in the recent past imposed a land, sea and air blockade on the embattled country, as the country fear that the Iranian elements would assist the Yemeni rebels if these routes are not secured.

Anyway, because of the same reason, the Saudi is not likely to withdraw the sanctions imposed over Yemen.

Since the year 2015, the Yemeni rebels have been fighting the Saudi led collision. In the recent past, the rebels even fired a ballistic missile towards the Saudi territory.
