In a society where charity often comes with cameras and applause, Ajit Ravi charted a different course. Back in 2015, as a senior officer at Cochin International Airport Limited, he introduced the 100 Life Challenge with a simple yet powerful aim — to dedicate his resources and energy to saving lives. From sponsoring life-saving heart surgeries to providing educational and medical aid, his mission consistently reached those in dire need.
Ajit’s dedication was not momentary. For 100 months without fail, he gave away 100% of his post-tax salary for eight hours of work to charity. Even when the COVID-19 crisis hit, bringing financial uncertainties, he continued his pledge. At one point, when he didn’t receive his salary due to official delays, he still found a way to contribute an equivalent amount — ensuring that no month went without support for someone in need.
Though the challenge has not been taken up by others, Ajit remains undeterred. He points out that while many prefer symbolic acts of kindness for visibility, true social service demands quiet sacrifice. His journey reflects the essence of leadership — inspiring through action, not words.
