First phase of Kochi SmartCity to be inaugurated today

The first phase of Kochi SmartCity project to be inaugurated today. The phase consists of a 6.5 lakh sq feet IT Tower and it will provide employment for 5000 people. Chairman of Dubai Holding Mohammed Al Gergawi will attend the function, IT professionals from all over will attend the event. The function is to take place in Kakkanad.

SmartCity will work in three phases and at the end it would have 140 lakh sq.ft. spread over 246 acres, generating 1.20 lakh direct jobs. The project also promised digital shopping malls, next step of evolution in infrastructure. Roads and bridges to the site have been completed.
