KCR to take oath as CM Today

Once again, K Chandrasekhar Rao is going to take oath as the Chief Minister of Telangana. The enviable opportunity has been gifted by the astounding victory his party has wristed in the recent assembly election. The massive victory proves right his decision to conduct the assembly election at least six months before the actual date the election is suppose to take place. Actually, it is a serious boost to KCR as well as his party Telangana Rashtra Samithi. Now, the TRS is the only powerful party in the state. In the new assembly, at least 88 lawmakers will be from the TRS.

As per a latest update, the oath taking ceremony of KCR will take place Today at 1.25 PM in Raj Bhavan. The report says that the oath will be administered by Governor E S L Narasimhan.

There is no clarity on how many TRS leaders will take oath with the KCR into the TRS government as ministers. There are assumptions that KCR may buy some more time to decide who all must be rewarded with the minster positions.

A source, aware about the developments, says that KCR wants to make sure that all sections are properly respected with the representation in his government.

KCR began his political career as a Youth Congress leader. He later shifted his loyalty to the TDP. Notably, it was during the Telangana movement that he gained popularity among the Telangana people. Unlike many political leaders, KCR stood with the Telangana people in the movement. He even resigned from his party during the movement. Subsequently, he became the face of the Telangana movement. Actually, it was for the political mobilisation of the Telangana people that he launched the TRS.

The support his party enjoys among the Telangana electorate is the clear indication how grateful a large section of electorate is to the TRS and its leader KCR.
