Manappuram Miss South India 2017 – Miss Bavithra B from Tamil Nadu

Alleppey: With the crown on her head, Miss. Bavithra B from Tamil Nadu stood before the audience today as Miss South India in the 15th edition presented by Manappuram Finance Ltd, an event directed by Ajit Ravi at Camelot Convention Centre, Alleppey. 18 beauties from 5 south Indian states participated in this event. Miss. Reshma R K Nambiar from Calicut and Miss. Varna Sampath from Karnataka were the first and second runner up respectively. Previous year winner Miss. The competition which was conducted by Pegasus took place in 3 rounds; Designer saree, red cocktail and black gown. The contestants walked the ramp in the grand finale for the music of PEGASUS, composed by DJ Harvey Steve.

Model and Actor Sanjay Kumar Asrani, Model, Actress and Writer Vanisree Bhatt, Model and Actor Rajeev Pillai, Managing Editor of Kanyaka, Toshma Biju, Model and Actor Kaushal Manda resided in the judges panel in this competition. The subtitles were also judged by a panel of expertise.

The title winner won One lakh rupees, the second runner up with 40,000 rupees gifted by Manappuram Finance Ltd and second runner up with 60,000 rupee gifted by Wow Factor. The crowns worn by the winners are gifted by Parakkat Jewellers.

The grooming for this competition was from January 21st in Beaumonde the Fern, Cochin. The girls were groomed by an expert panel of fashion choreographers and trainers– Valentina Ravi (Mrs India-Asia International), Arun Ratna (Fashion Choreographer), Sudhakshina Thampi (Yoga Trainer), Dr. Asha Biju (Skin Expert), Ganga Mohan (Personality Trainer), Jithesh (Personality Trainer), Dr. Eldho Koshi (Dentist), Dr. Karthik Ram (Chief Plastic Surgeon).
