The 16th Manappuram Multibillionaire Business Achiever (MBA) Award will honor five distinguished business leaders from Tamil Nadu at a grand ceremony on August 13 at Le Meridien Hotel in Coimbatore. The esteemed recipients will be inducted into the Federal International Chamber Forum (FICF), an exclusive network of the world’s wealthiest individuals, each possessing assets of at least ₹1000 crore. FICF celebrates MBA Award winners who excel in business and uphold a strong commitment to social responsibility, encouraging members to use their entrepreneurial prowess for societal progress.
This year’s award marks a significant milestone as the MBA Award, which originated in Kerala, expands to recognize outstanding business leaders from various states. Tamil Nadu’s honorees include Shri Soundararajan Bangarusamy of Suguna Foods, Shri CK Kumaravel of Naturals, Shri VC Praveen of Sree Gokulam Group of Companies, Dr. Arun N Palaniswami of KMCH Group of Hospitals, and Shri VR Muthu of Idhayam Group.
Dr. Ajit Ravi, Founder and Chairman of Pegasus and FICF, announced that in the future, the MBA Award will be given annually to a single recipient. This expansion also includes ten additional awardees to be announced in the coming months.
Past recipients of the MBA Award have included prominent figures such as Shri VP Nandakumar, Shri Joy Alukkas, Shri MA Yusuff Ali, Shri TS Kalyanaraman, Shri PNC Menon, Shri Gokulam Gopalan, Dr. Ravi Pillai, Shri MP Ramachandran, Shri Kochouseph Chittilappilly, Shri Sabu M Jacob, Dr. Viju Jacob, Dr. AV Anoop, Dr. Varghese Kurian, Adv. Dr P Krishnadas, and Dr. Hafeez Rahman.
