Police claim that an Ohio lady left her kid home alone in her Cleveland house for more than a week before discovering her dead. She has since been charged with murder.
The 16-month-old infant was unresponsive when Cleveland Division of Police officers arrived at the woman’s house at 7:51 a.m. on Friday, according to an incident report. The girl was pronounced deceased at the site by the medics.
Kristel Candelario, the mother of the infant, was detained and charged with murder. According to the online court docket, she made her first appearance in Cleveland Municipal Court on Tuesday morning and will make another one on Wednesday.
The incident report states that despite police claims that they did not see any obvious evidence of physical damage, the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office is performing a thorough autopsy. According to Cleveland police, investigators did find that the youngster had been left alone and unsupervised for around 10 days before she passed away.
