AIADMK, BJP to contest jointly in General Election

From what little that has been leaked about the AIADMK-BJP alliance, it can be assumed that the Dravidian party and the saffron party have reached the last stage of the alliance talk.

A national daily has reported that last night Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and AIADMK co-coordinator Edappadi K  Palaniswami, and AIADMK coordinator and Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam met the BJP Tamil Nadu election in-charge, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal at the bungalow of late industrialist Pollachi Mahalingam in Chennai.

The information about the meeting was hidden from the eyes of the public and media houses. Until the renowned national daily leaked the information that the CM and deputy CM met the union minister, the media houses were of the belief that it was Tamil Nadu Electricity Minister Thangamani and Municipal Administration Minister S P Velumani who represented the AIADMK in the alliance meeting in which the Railway Minister attended for the BJP.

No AIADMK leader has publically commended about the possibility of an AIADMK-BJP alliance in the upcoming general election.

It is a known fact that the BJP has been pulling the AIADMK towards them since a huge power vacuum occurred in the Dravidian party post the unexpected demise of its powerful leader, J Jayalalithaa, whose government was nearly a decade old when she left the world.
