Convicted Murderer Escapes Pennsylvania Prison Just One Week After Life Sentence

In a shocking turn of events, 34-year-old Danelo Cavalcante, convicted of first-degree murder in the stabbing death of his former girlfriend, managed to escape from Chester County Prison in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Chester County District Attorney Deb Ryan, who described Cavalcante as “extremely dangerous,” disclosed that he was last spotted walking on Wawaset Road in Pocopson Township, just an hour’s drive from Philadelphia. Cavalcante’s escape has prompted a massive manhunt involving numerous law enforcement agencies, including detectives and hundreds of police officers. The search effort utilizes a wide range of resources, including search helicopters, K-9 units, drones, and helicopters. Adding to the urgency of his capture, the U.S. Marshals Service of Philadelphia revealed that Cavalcante is also wanted for a homicide in Brazil.
