Artem Chigvintsev, a dancer known for appearing on “Dancing with the Stars,” was arrested in Yountville, Northern California, on Thursday morning. The arrest followed a 911 call reporting an incident of domestic violence, according to Napa County sheriff’s spokesman Officer Henry Wofford. Chigvintsev, who has appeared in 12 seasons of the show, was booked on a charge of felony domestic violence with a bond set at $25,000.
Following his arrest, Chigvintsev was released later that afternoon. While being booked does not equate to formal charges, the Napa County District Attorney’s Office will review the case once it is received to determine whether to file any charges, as stated by Wofford. The district attorney’s office has yet to receive the case and has not commented further.
