LAPD Releases Surveillance Photos of Johnny Wactor’s Alleged Killers and Getaway Vehicle

The Los Angeles Police Department has released eerie surveillance photos of the suspects in the murder of ‘General Hospital’ star Johnny Wactor. The 37-year-old actor was fatally shot in downtown Los Angeles on May 25, 2024, while walking back to his car after a late-night shift as a bartender. The suspects, who were attempting to steal Wactor’s catalytic converter, fled in a stolen 2018 four-door black Infiniti Q50 with a tan-colored interior.

The chilling images show two of the suspects in light-colored hooded sweatshirts and one in a black hoodie. The post, shared by LAPD on X, identifies ‘Suspect 1’ as having a tattoo above his left eye and on his right cheek. The crime, described by police as “without provocation,” occurred in the 1200 block of Hope Street, and Wactor succumbed to a gunshot wound to the chest, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner.

Authorities are urging the public to assist in locating the suspects. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the LAPD’s Central Bureau Homicide division or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS. The police emphasize the urgency of finding the killers, who remain at large.
