Malayalam film director Rajesh Pillai passed away

Malayalam film director Rajesh Pillai passed away at PVS memorial hospital in Kochi, Saturday Feb 27th. Noted film director was suffering from non-alcoholic liver cirrhosis and was admitted in PVS hospital looking for liver transplant. He was on ventilator after his health deteriorated. His death is officially confirmed by his Vettah crew members.

Rajesh Pillai rose to fame with his 2011 release Traffic, which garnered accolades and earned cult status among fans. Hindi remake was being made. His latest release is Vettah starring Manju Warrier and Kunchacko Boban in lead roles and has been receiving positive response from audience and critics alike.
