Ohio Father Pleads Guilty to Murdering Three Sons

In a tragic and chilling case, 33-year-old Chad Doerman has pleaded guilty to the murder of his three young sons in Monroe Township, Ohio. On June 15, 2023, Doerman shot Clayton, 7, Hunter, 4, and Chase, 3, before being sentenced to three consecutive life terms in prison. The disturbing details of the incident reveal a premeditated and horrifying act of violence. Before the murders, Doerman made ominous statements, including a cryptic phone call to his father and a remark to his wife, stating it would be his “last good meal.”

On the day of the murders, Doerman spent time with his family, including reading the Bible to his sons and doing yard work. However, as the afternoon progressed, he asked his family to join him for a nap and subsequently retrieved a .22 rifle from the gun safe. His wife, Laura, was alarmed by his actions and attempted to intervene, but was shot in the hand while trying to wrestle the gun away from him. Doerman’s sons were lined up in the yard and shot, while Laura, despite her injuries, managed to escape and seek help.

The Clermont County Prosecuting Attorney, Mark Tekulve, revealed that Doerman had been planning the murders for months. After the incident, Doerman was found on his porch, where he confessed to the killings and detailed the premeditated nature of his actions. The case has left the community and law enforcement officials reeling, with many deeply affected by the horrific events.
