State police reported that the accident occurred around 1:55 a.m. at the Silver Lake westbound rest area in Madison County. The injured victims were promptly transported to nearby hospitals, with four of them requiring airlifts via helicopter, while the remaining ten were taken by ambulance. Miraculously, no individuals in the commercial vehicles sustained any injuries.
