Trump Slams NYSE Texas Move, Calls Dallas Expansion “Unbelievably” Bad for New York

U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday criticised the idea of creating a “New York Stock Exchange” presence in Dallas, calling it an “unbelievably” bad development for New York. In a post on Truth Social, Trump said he could not believe authorities would allow it to happen, describing it as “a big test for the new Mayor.”

Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), the owner of the New York Stock Exchange, had earlier announced plans to add Texas as a venue for a secondary listing. NYSE Texas, which officially began operations earlier in 2025, has already recorded early activity, with 10 companies dual listing on the Dallas-based exchange within the first three months.

Among the firms to dual list were oilfield services company Halliburton and Trump Media & Technology Group, the parent company of Truth Social. Intercontinental Exchange and the New York mayor’s office did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
