U.S. Charges Ukrainian National in New Indictment Over Pro-Russia Cyberattacks

The U.S. Justice Department has announced additional federal criminal charges against Ukrainian national Victoria Eduardovna Dubranova, 33, for her alleged role in cyberattacks targeting key infrastructure in support of Russian interests. A newly filed indictment in a Los Angeles federal court accuses her of aiding the pro-Russian hacking group NoName057(16).

Dubranova, who was extradited to the United States earlier this year on separate charges linked to the group CyberArmyofRussia_Reborn (CARR), now faces conspiracy counts related to damaging protected computers in both cases. She has pleaded not guilty, with trials scheduled for April 2026 in the CARR matter and February 2026 in the NoName case, according to the Justice Department.

U.S. officials allege that Russia provided financial backing to both NoName and CARR, groups accused of attacking critical services including food and water systems. The State Department has offered rewards of up to $10 million for information on individuals tied to NoName and up to $2 million for those linked to CARR, as federal authorities continue efforts to disrupt malicious Russian cyber activity.
