On the wake of the raising insecurities posed by the North Korea in the Asian region, the United Kingdome Prime Minister, Theresa May, is set to visit Japan to discuss the trade and security issues. There have been reports that the bilateral trade meetings and the discussion over the North Korean issue will be the prime elements of the UK PM’s three-day visit to Japan. The Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Emperor Akihito will receive one of the most powerful leaders of the Europe, Ms May. While speaking to the International media personals ahead of the visit, Ms May has strongly criticised the North Korea for their aggressive behaviour.
She has asserted that it will put pressure on China to bring the situation in the Korean peninsula under control. It is apparent that just like the US President Donald Trump, the UK Prime Minister is also having an opinion that only the Asian powerhouses such as Japan, South Korea and China can find a solution to the North Korean issue. However, there are assumptions that the UK which urgently needs an Asian partner is considering Japan and South Korea as their close trade partners in the region. The destabilised Korean peninsula is a threat to the western business houses which have huge plans in the region. Recently, the NK conducted one more weapon test, inviting wide flak from the capitalist powers and the West.
