The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on April 1st stated an average temperature between April and June is likely to be 0.5 degrees higher than actual in North and Central India.
‘The April to June season average maximum temperatures are expected to be hotter than normal by 0.5 degree Celsius over most of the meteorological subdivisions from central India and other subdivisions from northwest India.
IMD also stated the temperatures are expected to be near to normal in the rest of the country.
