3 year-old escapes from father who killed mother and 2 sisters

The Phoenix Police department arrested a man who killed four people including his wife and two children. The suspect, Austin Smith, alleged his wife of cheating which led to a heated domestic dispute and eventually, a shooting rampage.

The 30 year old suspect came home drunk on Thursday and started accusing his wife of infidelity, which she denied. He then killed his wife Daisa Patterson, 29 and their daughters Mayan Smith,7, and Nasha Smith, 5 after which he drove to the apartment of the man who he thought was having an affair with his wife. There, he killed him and injured two others

When Police authorities reached their home, they found the woman and two children dead while their three year old daughter was hiding under a bed. The suspect told police that he chose not to kill her because she “reminded him of himself”.

Smith told his investigators that “the reason he shot these individuals is because in God’s eyes it was all right for him to deal with someone in this manner”, said Sgt. Tommy Thompson of the Phoenix Police Department.
