State-owned Air India has planned to show its nationalistic credentials for all its passengers after its crew were instructed on Monday to say Jai Hindi ‘with much enthusiasm’ following every detail.
‘With instant effect, all are asked to announce Jai Hindi at the end of every announcement after a slight rest and with much fervour,’ according to a circular signed by the Director Operations of Air India, Captain Amitabh Singh
‘The plan points to instil pride for the country and towards the soldier,’ said a source on the condition of anonymity. The airline’s resolution comes at a time India and Pakistan are seeing military tensions.
