AU nations unanimously demand apology from US Prez

The African Union nations at the United Nations have unanimously demanded apology from the United States President, Donald Trump, for his derogatory remark against the African immigrants.

The incident that invited the anger of the African nations happened around couple of days before in the White House, when the President met the lawmakers to discuss the immigration reforms.

In the meet, when the issue of protections for immigrants from African nations was raised, the US Supremo irresponsibly turned the question into a joke by using a foul world (which is derogatory in nature).

The president’s irresponsible statement invited serious criticism from inside the country, as well as from outside the country.

Though the president tried to quell the anger of the people in and outside the country by posting a ‘convoluted tweet’ explaining his position, it failed to gain the desired result.

This is the first time the African Union nations’ representatives have triggered a direct criticism against the leader of the world’s most powerful country.

It seems that this incident would open up new platforms for the cooperation in the international platforms, such as the UN, among the African countries, which was until recently regarded as those countries belonging to a irrelevant block in the United Nations.
