Bihar Politics: NDA parliament seat sharing in state likely to be a tough job

With a powerful new partner, JD(U), preparing to project itself as a dominant partner in the North Indian state of Bihar, the National Democratic Alliance led by the BJP, which rule the central government, is likely to face a tough time during the state’s parliament seat sharing exercise.

The JD(U), whose leader Nitish Kumar functions as the Chief Minister of the electorally powerful state, has already made it clear that their beloved leader would be the face of the alliance in the upcoming parliament and legislative election in the state, indirectly asserting that even though the Saffron party is the dominant member of the NDA, the JD(U) is not ready to let the BJP to function as the dominant member of the alliance in the state of Bihar.

Meanwhile, other partners of NDA alliance in the state have expressed their concerns about the unusual way the JD(U) behaves. They have requested the leadership of NDA to dissolve the dark clouds around the parliament seat distribution in the state.

The partners of NDA are not likely to give up their claims for the parliament seats which they now holds and were offered last time, as they are evidently pretty confident that they can perform as better as the previous parliament election in the upcoming elections.

Anyway, on June 7, 2018, the top level leaders of NDA are going to meet in the state to discuss the prime issues that the alliance faces. During that meeting, the leaders are likely to discuss the concerns of the partners of NDA.
