After becoming a Chartered Accountant, he honed his skills at prestigious firms like EY, KPMG, Deloitte, and Grant Thornton. During his time there, he worked with multinational clients and major Indian corporations on complex projects involving cross-border operations, mergers and acquisitions, business restructuring, and tax litigation, experiences that shaped his future entrepreneurial success.

From Vision to Reality

With over two decades of experience in consulting and advisory roles at Big Four firms, Sreejith embarked on a new journey in 2018, co-founding CAPITAIRE alongside two partners. The firm was built on a foundation of delivering Integrated Value to the business world. By 2020, Sreejith took the reins solo, steering CAPITAIRE to become a trusted name among business leaders.

Having experienced life as an NRI himself, Sreejith recognized a gap: many NRIs were unaware of the tax and regulatory implications on their banking activities, real estate investments, stock market ventures, and income streams. NRIs require a tailored approach from experts in International Taxation, FEMA, Tax Treaties, Inheritance Laws, and Income Tax Law. The absence of these specialized services resulted in mounting penalties due to unresolved or mishandled notices from the Income Tax Department. Drawing from his own expertise in international taxation, Sreejith and his team of Chartered Accountants provided much-needed solutions, ensuring NRIs’ tax and regulatory matters in India were handled securely and effectively.

Everyone, regardless of their global work location, aspires to improve their family’s quality of life, often at the cost of their own security and peace of mind. However, in the pursuit of wealth, many overlook protecting their assets and securing a proper succession plan for their families. This widespread issue led Sreejith to establish True Legacy, a platform focused on crafting succession planning strategies for business owners and high-net-worth individuals (HNIs). Through True Legacy, Sreejith developed tailored solutions to structure Family Private Trusts, Family Offices, and Wills, ensuring smooth asset and income transfer to heirs as per the owners’ wishes. In his mission to empower entrepreneurs and reduce their reliance on consultants, Sreejith also created the FINTAXMAN initiative, offering masterclasses to raise financial and tax awareness among business leaders.

Investing in Human Capital

Sreejith firmly believes that the true strength of any organization lies in its people. Despite the rise of AI, he continues to prioritize human potential and is committed to expanding his team. Faced with challenges in finding the right financial professionals for his own ventures and clients, he introduced the AFM (Ascent to Finance Manager) training program under the Special 40 initiative—a rigorous 60-day course designed to upskill 40 students in financial management, equipping them for business roles. Sreejith’s dedication to solving problems is evident in his efforts to address gaps in human capital.

In addition, he is currently working on a career planning book titled Why Commerce? which will be published soon. This book delves into educational pathways after Class X, focusing on the commerce stream and guiding students in shaping a professional career by weighing the pros and cons of each option.

Staying True to His Roots

Despite skepticism from others about his decision to launch his ventures in Kochi, Sreejith is proud to base his operations in Kerala. While other states offer seemingly more lucrative opportunities, Sreejith has always believed in giving back to his home state. His business footprint has since expanded to the GCC countries, including the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia. A strong proponent of leading independently, he values the freedom it provides to pursue opportunities and bring ideas to life quickly and efficiently.

The Pillars of His Strength

Behind Sreejith’s success lies the unwavering support of his family. His wife, Sowmya, a former teacher, now serves as the Director at PravasiTax. Recently, she was selected as a contestant for the Mrs. Kerala 2024 beauty pageant, where she won the Best Smile award. Their son, Nakul, is in Class 1 and has a passion for quizzes and trivia, bringing joy and energy to their home.
