Lately, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Robert Redfield said that face masks could protect people from Covid-19 than vaccines.
He also said that vaccines might not go public until the mid-2021. He added that the logic of prioritization might have to be applied on the process of vaccine distribution.
In contrary to the said claims, US President Donald Trump has denounced the idea of prioritization. He has said that the vaccine would be made available to every one as soon as it clears the stage of tests.
He has also extended his support to vaccines over masks.
This is not the first time the US President has contradicted the observation of media experts.
Actually, Mr. Trump’s statement has a clear link to his political positioning. It is clear that Mr. Trump is less likely to go back an inch on his position.
