Centre to earmark more funds to empower women

In order to strengthen the marginalised women population of the country, the central government is set to earmark more funds in those schemes aimed at bringing women towards the forefront of the society.

In line with this, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has given its assent to the concerned department’s proposal to expand the schemes which come under the ‘Mission for Protection and Empowerment for Women’.

As part of this new positive development, some sub-schemes are going to be added to the ambitious mission.

With these sub-schemes, the government aims to put more attention in the protection and development of women, in the improvement of child sex ratio and in the education of girl child.

In most of the rural regions located in the Northern region of the country, the women are not being allowed to enjoy all the rights offered by the constitution, as in these villages, a patriarchal system is still functioning despite the presence of a strong administration in the top which supports gender equality.

Anyway, it is definitely necessary to launch feasible policies to strengthen the women community of our country if we want to ensure that no constraints prevent us from achieving the progressive society the preponderance of the Indians envision.
