The Congress party president Rahul Gandhi on Thursday announced as its candidate from Amethi and Sonia Gandhi from Rae Bareli.
They published its first list of 15 Lok Sabha nominees for Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat after a meeting of its Central Election Committee.
The official announcement by the Election commission brings a conclusion to speculation about Ms Gandhi’s political role after dropping off as party chief in December 2017. For some time, Ms Gandhi’s health has been a matter of speculation. Speculation was also centred on Priyanka Gandhi in Rae Bareli
