The Congress party, which has been campaigning against External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj since she announced in the parliament that all the 39 Indian who had went missing in Iraq in June 2014 when Mosul fell under the clutches of the merciless Islamic militant group Islamic State were killed, is likely to bring a privilege motion against the minister on the ground that the minister several times delivered wrong statements in the parliament whenever the opposition lawmakers, mostly congress lawmakers, asked those questions related to the missing Indians.
A congress lawmaker from the Indian state of Punjab from which the majority of the victims hailed, Ambika Soni has claimed that the minister ignored her source, the person who escaped from the IS custody, when she informed the EAM that her source confirmed the death of all Indian captive.
The privilege motion is normally initiated when a parliamentarian fells that his/her parliamentary privilege of rights and immunities have been breached by any other member of the house or any other element.
For the last few days, the BJP has been suffering the heat of Dravidian agitation, Andhra Pradesh agitation and the EAM issue.
The parliament session, which has began recently, has witnessed disturbance almost every day due to different issues.
