Earthquake hits Mexico

Putting the normal life of people in disorder, and injecting the unwelcoming element of fear into the heart of people, severe earthquake has jolted the south-western region of the North American county of Mexico, which is one of the most earthquake-prone regions in the world.

As per the latest updates released by the Mexican authorities, the magnitude of the earthquake has been measured as a little more than seven.

Pinotepa de Don Luis, a region located in the Mexican state of Oaxaca, has been identified as the epicentre of the earthquake which has inflicted serious injury on the North American country.

The state where the earthquake has inflicted serious injuries is just two hundred miles away from the capital city of Mexico, Mexico City.

Fortunately, no death has been reported yet. Anyway, as per the report, several people have been injured in the earthquake.

The authorities have deployed the disaster management team to mitigate the intensity of the earthquake.

It is not the first time the country have experience such a severe earthquake. Last year, a similar earthquake took several lives in the country.

Mexico is a country which is situated on top of three of the Earth’s largest tectonic plates –the North American, Cocos and Pacific plates.
