Eight killed in terror attack in New York

Over eight people have been mercilessly killed and several other innocent people injured in a terror attack in New York.

The attacker has been shot in the abdomen by the police officials, and he is expected to survive the injury.

No information has been released about the attacker who is aged around twenty-nine or thirty.

A witness has informed the International media houses that the attacker has shouted the slogan ‘Allahu Akbar’ after carrying out the brutal act.

The interesting fact is that the weapons recovered by the police authorities from the attacker have been not original.

Some sources claim that the attacker is an Uzbekistan citizen who came to the United States around seven years ago.

Though no one has claimed the responsibility of the attack formally until now, the modus operandi used to carry out the attack indicates that he is either an Islamic State sympathiser or an IS operative.

In the recent past, the IS executed similar attacks in several Western countries across the globe such as the UK, France, and Germany.

The New York mayor, Bill de Blasio, has called the attack as a ‘cowardly act of terror aimed at innocent citizens’.

An investigation is on.
