Around twenty-one Chibok girls who were kidnapped by the infamous terror organisation of Nigeria, Boko Haram, have been released after a tough negotiation between the government and terrorist representatives. In 2014, the Muslim terrorist has kidnapped nearly two-hundred and seventy-six girls from Chibok. The kidnapped girls were, then, minor, school, children. Followed by that, the internal tension and violence in the country received international attention. Several rights groups extended support to the Nigerian population, and conducted protest and demonstration across the country demanding the release of the kidnapped girls.Subsequently, the Nigerian government received strong international support to fight the Boko Haram. As a result of this, the security forces successfully shattered several strongholds of the terror group and reduced the influence of the terror organisation across the sensitive region inside the country.Anyway, of the 276 Chibok girls, at least 197 girls are still missing. Some international medias reported that some girls died in the captivity and some were forcefully married to the Boko fighters.
The Chibok girls were mostly Christians. The shocking fact is that the preponderance of them was, most probably, forcefully converted into Muslims.Anyway, the terms and conditions of the latest negotiation have not yet publicised. An unacknowledged news says that the government swapped captured militants for the girls. Some international medias reported that the terrorist got a huge ransom. However, the government denied all these allegations. In the emotional reunion ceremony, the girls elucidated several terrific incidents they underwent while they were at the terror camp as the captives.
