EU, Canada set to ink trade deal on Sunday

Despite rising protest among the people across the Europe against the Ceta, the European Union and Canadian government are set to ink the most-discussed trade deal on coming Sunday. As per the reports, the representatives of the both factions will meet at Brussels to sign the deal formally.

Earlier, the Belgium government had objected the trade deal, citing that the deal is not ensuring adequate protection to their environment, consumer standard, and labor.Later, after a productive marathon talk, Belgium decided to support the Canada-EU trade deal.
Since last seven years, the concerned authorities of both factions have been conducting several series of talks and negotiations to reach an agreement in order to materialize the controversial EU-Canada trade deal.
It is learned that the advocates of the EU-Canada deal is extremely happy now because they are about to see the accomplishment moment of their mission.
After the marathon discussion, the President of the European Council, Donald Tusk, informed his followers through his social media handle that the mission is accomplished.Shortly after that announcement, the Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, welcomed the declaration, saying it is great news. He added that he is looking forward to being there.
The Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement, popularly known as the Ceta or EU-Canada trade deal, will remove several regulations and restrictions in trade between Europe and Canada.
The anti-Ceta group alleges that it will badly affect the European standards, employment and environment policies.
Recently, the anti-Ceta groups conducted several demonstrations and campaigns across the Europe in a bid to build awareness about the ill effects of the controversial deal.
