On the wake of new global developments, the European Union and Ukraine authorities are expected to discuss the anti-corruption measures and Russian aggression in an upcoming summit. As per the report, the Ukraine President, Petro Poroshenko and some senior EU officials will meet at Brussels to deliberate the new developments. While speaking to the media personals, the Ukraine foreign minister has opined that the focus of the discussion would be Russian aggression. It is learned that the Ukraine authorities are extremely concerned about the US president-elect, Donald Trump, and his foreign policies.
Some sources have confirmed that the Ukraine supremo would raise the issue in the summit. Earlier, the EU authorities clarified that the Ukraine government need to check the corruption effectively in order to achieve the visa-free travel status. Subsequently, the Ukraine authorities constituted a new anti-corruption bureau. They also created a new police force. Moreover, they established an advanced system to track the illegal wealth. A renowned lawyer, Anna Kalynchuk, was appointed as the chief of the anti-corruption force. It seems that the EU officials would initially verify these anti-corruption measures taken by the Ukraine government. The EU officials are less likely to discuss the Russian aggression and Trump’s statement in this summit, says expert.Earlier, Trump criticised the US government’s role in Ukraine. However, as per the information, the Ukraine officials are keenly observing each development suspiciously.
