The Election Commission on Sunday announced that during the 2019 Loka Sabha elections, all EVMs will have photographs of the candidates to evade confusion over similar names. Candidates photograph will be printed on the EVM ballot unit as well as on the postal ballot papers.
This process is not for the first time, during the polls with Photo Electoral Rolled for the first time in 2009.
