Fillon, Juppe knock out ex-supremo Sarkozy from French presidential race

Former French supremo Nicolas Sarkozy was knocked out of the presidential race by his close friend, Francois Fillon, and the ex-Prime Minister, Alain Juppe. As per the report, the former supremo admitted his failure and wholeheartedly offered his support to his opponents.Mr Sarkozy was the member of the centre-right Republican Party. He started his political career in 1983. He held several prestigious positions like interior minister, finance minister, and budget minister. In 2007, he became the French President by defeating Segolene Royal, a strong socialist opponent. But, unfortunately, he lost his position in 2012 to the then Socialist candidate, Francois Hollande, who is currently working as the supremo of the country.

Anyway, in 2014, he returned to active politics. Subsequently, he was inducted as the possible candidate.Notably, he did not make into the candidateship as he failed to convince his party workers as good as his close friend and his former colleague. It was learned that the Republican candidate is likely to become the winner in the presidential race as the Socialist faction miserably fails to uphold public confidence.A pre-poll survey report declared that the centre-right Republicans would mark an astounding victory in the upcoming election.Meanwhile, while speaking to the media personals, Mr Sarkozy extended his complete support to his friends. He added that he had no bitterness and sadness.Mr Fillon was the colleague of Mr Sarkozy. When Sarkozy was working as the supremo, Mr Fillon was his Prime Minister.
