Highlighting the ultimate reality that there is no difference between a MLA and common man before law, the Central Bureau of Investigation have arrested BJP lawmaker Kuldeep Singh Sengar for the purpose of questioning in connection with the Unnao rape case.
At least three cases have been booked by the CBI in connection with the Unnao rape and the death of the victim’s father in the judicial custody.
As per a latest report, the questing session is progressing in a CBI office located in Lucknow. The CBI authorities has not publicised anything regarding the arrest, other than the clarification that the MLA has been arrested for questioning.
The Unnao case is one of the most controversial cases the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh has ever witnessed because in this case the prime accused is a lawmakers of the ruling party and the victim’s father was found death in the judicial custody in a mysterious circumstance.
The interim investigation carried out by the senior officials of the UP Police Department brought out some substantial evidences which support the argument raised by the victim and those with her.
The decision taken by the Yogi Adityanath led government to hand over the Unnao case and the Unnao victim’s father unnatural death case to the CBI deserves appreciation. The decision helps the Saffron Party to uphold the message that no one is above law.
