Former Soviet leader warns of impending danger due to nuclear weapon

Former Soviet Union leader Mikhail Gorbachev has warned that the growing tension between Russia and the west – particularly Germany, France, the UK and the US – would put the world in great danger.

He has cited the existence of nuclear weapon in the world as the reason for the potential danger.

The last Soviet supremo has called for the renunciation of nuclear weapon by all countries in the world.

Mikhail Gorbachev is a very popular Soviet leader. He is the one who was at the helm at the time the Soviet Union entered its last phase.

His warning has been publicised by a British media giant. Recently, the leader has given an exclusive interview to the media giant.

The politics of the warning remains unclear at this moment. But, one thing is clear there is something unusual in the development.

Russia is at present in a bad relation with the west. Like the west, Russia is also a very powerful nuclear power, as it is the main successor of the erstwhile Soviet Union – which was once as powerful as that of the US in terms of its military capability.
