In a bid to enhance competition in the railway sector, the Central government is likely to let the private players operate the railway lines.

The announcement regarding this ambitious plan has been revealed by the Union Railway Minister, Piyush Goyal.

While speaking to the media personals, the minister has said that the move is expected to generate competition in the sector. He has added that it would also help to achieve customer satisfaction.

It seems that the new railway minister is very ambitious and optimistic about the future of the railway sector.

Since September 4, the day which Mr Goyal took charge of the ministry by replacing Mr Suresh Prabhu, he has been researching various possibilities to transform the sector.

Identifying the reality that Mr Prabhu was actually forced to step down from the prestigious post because of his inability to find a solution to the derailments, the new minister has asserted that his prime priority is the safety of the passengers.

He has claimed that he is ready to spend as much as money required in ensuring the safety of the passengers.

Unlike his predecessors, he, it seems that, not going to play with the safety fund.
