Haryana set to open several girl collages

The North Indian state of Haryana is set to open up as many as thirty one women collages across the state in a bid to empower the young women community which constitutes a major part of the total state population.

The information regarding the plan of the government has been officially publicised by the Haryana Education Minister, Ram Bilas Sharma.

In many Indian states, women are often denied the opportunity to follow the path of education. Haryana is one of the Indian states where men are encouraged more than women to pursue the path of education.

It seems that the authorities with the new policy aim to bring in a significant change in the state.

As per a report, the project will be implemented soon. The report has added that until the infrastructural facilities necessary to run the proposed collages are made these collages will operate in the unoccupied portions of government offices and government schools.

The rapid increase in the number of women collages in the state is likely to make the most important wealth of education accessible to all aspiring women students.

At this moment, it is not clear how much money will be earmarked to develop the infrastructural facilities required for the proposed collages.

Will other states follow Haryana’s path?
