Leftist extremism is a serious issue in India. Several villages, located in the northern states of Odisha, Jharkhand and Bihar, are severely affected by this Maoist insurgency. These dissent elements, as per the government’s view, obstructs the development activates, like establishing roads and other connectivity, as they fear it will affect the political activities they are engaged in.

Interestingly, the Indian Home Minister, Rajnath Singh, has advised the Microsoft founder Bill Gates, who has come to visit the minister, to adopt nearly one thousand Maoist-hit villages in Odisha, Jharkhand and Bihar.

Recently, the Indian government cancelled the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act licence of Public Health Foundation of India, which is a health advocacy group funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Can anyone denounce the statement if someone says that by asking the billionaire to adopt some risky villages the Indian government is giving a sweet punishment?

In the recent past, a white paper released by the economic wing of RSS found that the billionaire’s NGO have huge influence in the Indian health sector.

There were reports that the white paper released by the Swadeshi Jagran Manch was the factor played behind the cancellation of the PHFI’s FCRA licence.
