India preparing to purchase crude oil from Iran, repudiating the US’ sanction over Tehran

Evidently repudiating the United States’ sanction over Iran, India has decided to purchase crude oil from Tehran.

The move is aimed to reduce the issues the nation is facing due to the continuing rise in the petrol and diesel prices.

Unfortunately, the move is likely to attract ire of the United States which is already unhappy with the India’s move to purchase Russian weapons.

Iran, Russia and North Korea are the prime rivals of the US, and are those who have been placed under the clutches of sanctions for years by the White House.

A report says that just like it did before entering into a deal with Russia, India has sought a sanction waiver for their proposed deal with Iran.

There is no information on whether the US has granted such a waiver or not. Experts say that if India does not receive such a waiver, it will have to irritate the US. They add if India decides to irritate the US for the sack of the reduction of oil price, it may have to pay a huge price. They further add that India needs to find a balance in the world politics and it should not interfere in, or fall prey to, the power politics played by the aggressive players such as the US, Russia and China.
